"Peacetival": Gilboa Regional Council's Coexistence Festival
On August 26th-28th the
Gilboa Regional Council held the first annual
"Peacetival: Gilboa Coexistence Festival". Promoting Arab-Jewish coexistence in Israel, the Festival encompassed three days of music, festivities, outdoor activities and artistic events for participants of all ages.
The Gilboa Coexistence Festival celebrated and promoted ongoing activities advancing coexistence and equality between Jews and Arabs in the Gilboa Region.
The festival opened with a Joe Cocker performance and a special VIP ceremony honoring recipients of the
Gilboa Award for Tolerance and Co-existence, among which was the
Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues.
