The Pears Foundation UK Roundtable - July 25, 2007

Twenty-five senior professionals from the UK Jewish community, including Foundation executives and Friends of Israel groups, participated in a Round Table in London. Participants heard about the challenges of integration and development in Israel from guest speakers Shawki Khatib, Chairman of the Follow Up Committee for Arab Citizens in Israel and the Arab Mayors' Committee, Mayor Ramzi Jaraysi of Nazareth, and Jafar Farah of the Mossawa Advocacy Center.

Participants included senior figures from United Jewish Israel Appeal, Women's Internation Zionist's Organization, Conservative Friends of Israel, Labour Friends of Israel, New Israel Fund, Porter Foundation, Portland Trust, Rayne Foundation and the Sigrid Rausing Trust.

The meeting was part of a two-day visit to the UK, co-ordinated by the Local Government Association and co-sponsored by The Pears Foundation and the British Foreign Office.
