The Jerusalem Foundation

The mission of the Jerusalem Foundation is to foster the development of a pluralistic and flourishing Jerusalem for all of its residents. To respond to the many challenges and complex issues facing the city today, the Jerusalem Foundation is trying to find avenues of better understanding among the different communities. The foundation has over 40 programs that were designed and developed to focus specifically on coexistence efforts. The Coexistence Forum of the Jerusalem Foundation deals with the challenges facing Jews and Arabs today through a variety of programs that promote respect and acceptance for all Jerusalemites, while encouraging diversity and understanding of one another’s religion, language and ethnicity. In addition, the Jerusalem Foundation supports projects that bring together all populations through activities of common interest through the arts, education and sports. The Jerusalem Foundation’s ongoing commitment to seeing Jerusalem as a place where Arabs and Jews can learn to live together in peace will hopefully become a lasting legacy throughout the 21st century and beyond.
