I have long said that there are signs of hope related to the issues we focus on — including inspirational, innovative programs and leadership in Israel — but sometimes it takes a Shakira to get initiatives like the Hand in Hand school in Jerusalem some well-deserved attention as we saw a few weeks ago. The tireless work of our Israeli colleagues Vivian Silver and Amal Elsana Elh'jooj, Co–Executive Directors of the Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development (NISPED), was also recently spotlighted – NISPED just won the 2011 Victor J.
