In his educational conference call briefing, Yoav Stern, reporter on Arab Affairs for Haaretz Newspaper, provided an analysis of election trends in the Arab sector and the image of Israeli-Arabs in Israel's mainstream press.

Yoav Stern has been the reporter on Arab Affairs for Haaretz newspaper since 2003. Starting in 2005 he also began covering issues related to the Arab sector inside Israel. In 2006, towards the previous Knesset elections, he moved for two months to Um El Fahem, Israel, writing reports and columns about what was happening in the city. This project awarded him the Anna Lind Center Award for Inter-Cultural Tolerance. Over the past year, Yoav has been writing a weekly column covering actions and trends in the Arab sector in Israel, and during the recent elections campaign he covered news regarding the Israeli Arab political parties.
