The children's photographs reflect their own perspectives on their everyday life.
These photos are the product of an on-going project of visual literacy conducted by Ilan Molcho,
a graphic artist whose voluntary work guided a series of photography workshops organized by the
Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality.
Spending four years in the Negev, Liza Hamlyn spent many hours speaking to, and getting to know
women from the Bedouin towns and villages. Attaining the trust of women in this highly isolated
society has enabled Liza gain first-hand experience of their culture, capturing it in photos
On the opening night, Prof. Avner Ben-Amos from Tel-Aviv University and the Negev Coexistence
Forum will talk about Bedouin history and society and Liza Hamlyin will talk about her personal
experience shared with Bedouin women which formed the basis for her current work
