Helmi Kittani is an expert in conflict resolution and mediation, in both the business and community relations fields. He is a leader in the field of economic development and in facilitating business cooperation between Jews and Arabs in Israel and the Middle East. His career includes senior managerial experience in the banking and financial sector with Israel's leading bank, Bank Hapoalim.

Kittani is committed to peaceful co-existence between Israel's Jewish and Arab populations and to the integration of Israel's Arab community into the mainstream society and economy, towards a fair, just and equitable society for all.

In 2002, Helmi was awarded the Knesset's Quality of Life Award, along with CJAED founder Sarah Kreimer, from Speaker of the Knesset MK Avraham Burg, for the long period of time devoted to improving the quality of life of Arab citizens of Israel.

Kittani earned his BA from Tel Aviv University in Investment and Securities Consulting in 1972. In 1989 he earned his Certificate in Accounting and Tax Consulting from the Ministry of the Treasury, and in 2000 he earned a Diploma in Mediation and Conflict Resolution Israel Institute for Mediation.
