Left and "Rights": Visions of Social Justice in Israel

Jan 31 2010 4:00pm - 6:00pm -

Join the New Israel Fund and B’nai Jeshurun for a provocative discussion of the competing rights — and wrongs — in today’s Israel. Featuring Avraham Burg, former Speaker of Knesset; Naomi Chazan, former Deputy Speaker of Knesset and NIF President; Martin Indyk, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel; and Daniel Sokatch, NIF’s CEO.

Rising extremism among Israeli settlers. New legislation discriminating against Arab citizens of Israel. Gender segregation in public places. And a quasi-official war against human rights groups and those speaking out about injustice in Israel.

Debate these difficult issues with us.
