The Jezreel Valley Music Center is a multicultural community where people from Israel's northern region come together to sing, play, and study music, representing and combining their distinct musical traditions. Its choir and ensembles, made up of Jewish and Arab young people, express their spirit of understanding in performances throughout Israel and abroad. Recently, the center was in danger of closing due to financial difficulties, and was rescued through the support of Maestro Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The future of the center depends on the generosity of people who believe in the power of music to promote peace.

Jewish-Israeli pianist Nimrod David Pfeffer has appeared in concert at Carnegie Hall, Moscow's Kremlin, and Warsaw's Royal Lazienky Park, and performed extensively in Europe, Asia and America. He made his debut with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008. Pfeffer is currently a student of Richard Goode at Mannes College of Music in New York, and in November he will perform the world premiere of a recently discovered concerto by Felix Mendelssohn with the Mannes Orchestra.

Arab-Israeli pianist Bishara Haroni has appeared with the Valencia Symphonic Orchestra, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Youth Symphonic Orchestra of the USA. He has collaborated with artists Gary Hoffman, Klaus Thunemann, Dale Clevenger, and Nobuko Imai. In 2008, Haroni appeared as a soloist with Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and in September will appear with the orchestra again under Riccardo Muti.
