Jews and Arabs in the State of Israel: a perplexing and challenging issue that we all face as Jews whether in the Diaspora or in the state of Israel. How did we get to where we are today and what are the issues that face both communities as we move to the future? We will explore the impact of the political and ideological constraints on the advancement of Jewish-Arab coexistence in Israel from the perspectives of Jews and Arabs, from the viewpoint of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Israel Arab Issues, as well as from the Israeli government. Addressing the polarization of the Jewish and Arab reciprocal attitudes, we will assess the possibilities for the future.
