Israel Connect screened the Israeli film The Syrian Bride on Sunday, February 15th at the LJCC Ivy House in London. The movie was followed by a talk and Q&A with Zeidan Atashi, the first Druze MK.

The Syrian Bride follows the story of a Druze wedding and the troubles the politically unresolved situation creates for the personal lives of the people in and from the village.

Zeidan Atashi served as the first Druze MK (1977-1988) and as a diplomat in New York. He is active nationally and internationally to advance the cause of peace and coexistence.
