The Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues invites you to join Professor Avishay Braverman, Israeli Minister of Minority Affairs, on a multi-city North American educational tour from September 14-17. The Inter-Agency Task Force brings Professor Braverman to North America for his first tour since being appointed to the newly created post of Minister of Minority Affairs for a series of public meetings. Professor Braverman will share his perspective on the current realities regarding Jewish-Arab relations in Israel, discuss his plans to promote equality for all Israelis and engage in a dialogue with participants.

MK Professor Avishay Braverman - Minister of Minority Affairs
MK Professor Avishay Braverman is the Minister of Minority Affairs in the Israeli government. MK Professor Braverman, a member of the Labor party, has served as a member of the Israeli Knesset since April 2006 and has served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee. His portfolio deals with the economic, social, and educational challenges of Israel's Arab citizens. In this capacity he emphasizes partnership and equality,
MK Professor Braverman served as President of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 1990-2006. He has served as a Senior Economist and Division Chief for the World Bank (1977-1990) where he led research, policy work and project evaluation throughout South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe emphasizing balanced economic development and social justice.
MK Professor Braverman holds a Ph.D in Economics from Stanford University.
