Healing Across the Divides will be hosting a presentation and conversation about public health in Israel and the Palestinian Authority and whether it can bridge the Arab-Israeli Divide.
Juhyana Hussein works at Al-Tufula Center as a coordinator of a public health project in three Israeli Arab villages in Northern Israel and Ruba Simaan works as a resource development coordinator for the center. Both will speak about the community-based health inititaives in Dar El Kalima and Al-Tufula and about the pivotal role of Israeli Arab women in Israel and the West Bank.

Al-Tufula is a multipurpose pedagogical women's center, in Nazareth. It foucses on community-based health promotion initiatives for Palestinian women in newly recognized or unrecognized villages in Israel.
Healing Across the Divides, founded in late 2004, brings together all constituencies (Christians, Muslims and Jews, in addition to interested individuals/groups) to assist Israeli/Palestinian health care organizations improve the health of Israelis and Palestinians within a community based framework.
