Bridging the Jewish-Arab Divide in Israel – A Pathway to Peace
WHO: Ami Nahshon, president and CEO of The Abraham Fund Initiatives
WHAT: Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service/Program on Jewish Civilization is hosting a lecture by Ami Nahshon, president and CEO of The Abraham Fund Initiatives, titled “Bridging the Jewish-Arab Divide in Israel and Beyond.” Nahshon will discuss how, as US special envoy George Mitchell brokers a new round of indirect Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, it is time to examine the progress currently underway to improve relations between Jews and Palestinian-Arabs within Israel herself, where closing economic and social gaps and advancing coexistence and reconciliation are important pre-conditions to fostering a climate of peace in the region.
