THE CONCERT FOR POSSIBILITY
Christians, Jews and Muslims
supporting the education of children in the Middle East
at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills
7:00 pm on March 18, 2012
Honorary Co-Chairs:
Imam Jihad Turk of the Islamic Center of Southern California
Rabbi Sharon Brous of IKAR Synagogue
Through the education of children arises a new possibility of progress in the Middle East. Arab
and Jewish children are now being educated in several schools based upon the proven Waldorf
system of nurturing instruction, which embraces mutual cultural appreciation in an atmosphere
based in nature and classroom peace. Waldorf education has been pervasive in Europe and the
US since the 1920s. Today, it is growing throughout the world. In the Middle East it holds the
promise of great possibilities for change.
The promise of this educational paradigm has brought together an interfaith coalition in Los
Angeles dedicated to supporting and maximizing its efficacy. Thus,
The Concert for Possibility is proud to present the world-famous Yuval Ron, a master in Middle
East and Sufi music, who recently performed on Santa Monica’s Broad Stage to a sell-out
audience. Yuval’s dynamic and soulful compositions together with his riveting story telling will
touch your sensitivities with hope and potential, just like the education, itself. The Concert will
also feature the hip group Noor, four local Muslim guys whose dynamic sound is now moving
around the world. A special presenter will be the patriarch from the Emmy Award winning series
Modern Family, actor Ed O’Neill. A proud Irishman, Ed O’Neill knows about possibility, from
the successful outcome of the conflict in Northern Ireland.
The Concert for Possibility will be held on Sunday, March 18th at Temple Emanuel in Beverly
Hills, at 7pm benefitting reGeneration’s projects in the Middle East. (regenerationedu.org) Your
presence along with the Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities will make a powerful
statement that will be heard throughout the world. Just think what your support could make
possible.
