The Task Force will be hosting educational briefings via conference calls throughout 2007. Dr. Elie Rekhess – Director, Konrad Adenauer Program on Jewish-Arab Cooperation in Israel, focused on "The Arabs in Israel: The Sharpening Dilemma of National Identity".

In 2006, 157,000 Bedouin lived in the Negev, accounting for approximately two thirds of the population in the region. In addition, 60,000 Bedouin live in the Galilee and 10,000 in central Israel.
