21 Israeli Arab Women Graduate Cisco Course at the Arab-Jewish Community Center

December 14th, 2009

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join The Arab-Jewish Community Center (AJCC) in celebrating the graduation of 21 Israeli Arab women, age 19 to 40, from the center's Al Amal (Hope): The Arab Women Economic Empowerment Program on Monday, December 14, 2009.

All graduates of the course will receive a computer technician certificate from Cisco Networking Academy, as well as, assistance in job placement in high-tech sectors. An effort made possible by generous contributions from Cisco Systems, Inc. and The Peres Center for Peace.

For the last three years, Al Amal has helped 65 Arab females overcome anti-Arab discrimination in the workplace, slowly breaking through the glass ceiling of discriminatory practices that prevents most Arab women from entering the Israeli labor market.
