Ziv Medical Center runs a regional clinic for children and adolescents in M'ghar, offering diagnosis and treatment for youngsters aged 6-18, in the field of mental health. The clinic, established in 2007, provides the Arabic speaking population of the Galilee with treatment for a wide variety of mental and behavioral problems which are prevalent amongst children and adolescents. The multi-disciplinary team includes a psychiatrist, 3 psychologists, 2 social workers and a family therapist. 350 patients are currently receiving treatment at the clinic, with a waiting list of an additional 100 children. The clinic's facilities, including the building and the staff, are in dire need of expansion in order to cope with the growing number of families seeking assistance for their children. In addition, Ziv Medical Center would like to open an additional clinic in the village Majdal Shams which will serve the Arab residents of the Golan Heights area.
