Yedid: Womens Dialogue for Peace
Provided participants - 15 Jewish women from the Kiryat Shmona area kibbutzim (Cfar Giladi, Hagoshrim and Gonen) and 15 Bedouin-Israeli women from Tuba - with the opportunity to learn how listen to and be compassionate towards people from vastly different backgrounds.The project empowered participants as women by giving them the chance to hear the stories of other women and find the commonalities between them. By offering a forum to meet people from different backgrounds, the project developed a willingness and openness to learn about other cultures and a desire to live together in respect and good will.
