Shatil: Equalizing Bedouin Education in the Negev
Drawing upon a rich diversity of professional experience, Shatil has its finger on the pulse of the Bedouin community in the Negevbringing a wealth of added value to our work in the Equalizing Bedouin Education in the Negev project. Our efforts focus on face-to-face outreach encouraging local, disenfranchised Bedouin parents to become active participants in their children's education and targeted advocacy efforts to push for equal rights. We empower Bedouin parentswho themselves frequently have only an elementary level educationto become key players together with educational professionals and seasoned activists in the Shatil-led Umbrella Forum for Bedouin Education in the Negev.

Shatil ("seedling" in Hebrew) was established by the New Israel Fund in 1982 to strengthen civil society in Israel.
