Women's Leadership - The Arab sector is undergoing major changes and new civil society processes are emerging. Local women's groups have been a major catalyst for community building. The Shdemot Center at Oranim are experts in community building and its staff are leading women's groups in villages in the central and northern areas. The goals are to create a common dialogue, a process of democratic decision-making, and identify initiatives for civil action and being proactive in the public sphere. As a result of these groups, conversations are emerging on subjects like gender roles and responsibilities in the family and community, cooperation between men and women, civil rights and obligations.
